Major Festival of Sant Genis in Monells

Monells is getting ready for a festive season filled with music, tradition, and a good atmosphere!

Friday kicks off with a bang with the Cow Raising Competition in the Plaza de l'Oli, followed by the opening speech and the traditional "chupinazo" (fireworks ) to get everyone in the mood. In the evening, dinner and theater with "La Niña Bonita" (The Pretty Girl) will kick off the festivities with humor and good food.

On Saturday afternoon, the parade begins with giants, dragons, drummers, and guest bands that will fill the streets with color and rhythm. In the evening, there's music for all ages: first, a children's concert with Ambauka, then a cover concert with Pelukass, followed by a Celtic DJ Hurey set until late into the night.

Sunday is a day of tradition: sardanas in the Plaza Jaume I with the Cobla Principal de Banyoles and, to close, a highlight: a Mishima concert, which will bring the party to a close with energy and good songs.
