Pessebre Vivent de Joanetes La Vall d'en Bas

The small town of Juanetas has been transformed for many years to represent the Nativity Scene when Christmas parties arrive.

The tour consists of about 40 scenes, encompassed in the village core and in all corners of the forest and around the river. There are about 400 people who participate and, apart from the religious character of the representation, the ancient trades that have been lost over time (like coal, candles, beating wheat, pig slaughter, blacksmith, Carpenter....). In addition there are also many animals that makes the tour very distracted by the smallest of families.

It should also be noted that during the month of December the largest illuminated star in the world is mounted on the old Santa Magdalena top and shines with all its splendor giving a touch of Christmas magic throughout the town.

As it is already tradition, the representation of the Nativity is accompanied by chocolate, cookies, infusions and broth for all the guests.

We wait for you all!

Representations on the 25th of December at 7 in the afternoon and on the 26th and 30th of December at 6 in the afternoon.
