The Gurt family began its hospitality business in 1968 in the town of Santa Coloma de Farners opening a bar. A few years later, in 1974, expanded the business of bar opening service restaurant, at the time he joined the family-run establishment Gurt the couple's son-Maynau, Jaume. In 1981 the hostel, born 17 rooms and category 2 star Pension opens. Since then the family Gurt has continued to invest in the business to improve service and accommodation of travelers arriving in Santa Coloma de Farners.
