Llapis de Sant Jordi Awards in Pals
In 1997, the first Llapis de Sant Jordi literary contest was held as a result of the collaboration between the cultural area of the Pals town council and a group of neighbors. All those adults, young people and children who are fond of writing both in prose and in verse can participate. The jury is made up of people linked or not to the town of Pals who altruistically collaborate in reading and evaluating the works presented.
The prizes are announced for Sant Jordi in the Ca la Pruna cultural center with the assistance of the winners and the participants. All winners receive a trophy that accredits them as such: a large pencil, approximately 50 cm, specially created for the occasion, in addition to other prizes in cash or gift vouchers.
