Bassella
Bassella is a municipality in the county of Alt Urgell. The municipality of Bassella was the most affected by the construction of Rialb.
Bassella is the southernmost municipality of Alt Urgell, wedge between the Noguera and Solsonès. It borders the counties of Solsonès east and the west Noguera. North alturgellencs borders the municipalities of Oliana and Peramola, west to the Barony of Rialb and Tiurana, south of Vilanova de l'Aguda (Noguera) and Pinell de Solsonès and east Castellar de la Ribera (Solsonès).
San Mer is an enclave of some 53 ha of the municipality of Bassella is located entirely in the municipality of Pinell de Solsonès, at its northeastern end
